Skills over MCP

The Skills extension implements the stable io.modelcontextprotocol/skills contract against MCP 2026-07-28. It adds skills/list, skills/get, and optional resources/directory/read methods. Every skill file remains an ordinary resource read through resources/read.

The adapter validates SKILL.md against the delegated Agent Skills format. It preserves every frontmatter field, exact served bytes, byte sizes, and lowercase SHA-256 digests. A static manifest is complete and atomic. Generated collections declare resources: "dynamic" explicitly.

The implementation accepts Unicode lowercase alphanumeric names because the delegated specification and its reference validator define names in Unicode code points. It applies NFKC only while checking the naming rules and never rewrites frontmatter or served bytes. It rejects uppercase, leading or trailing hyphens, consecutive hyphens, invalid UTF-8, and URI/name mismatches.
